Magnesium Oil! The results are in!
I've given my concoction of Magnesium Chloride and distilled water long enough, I think.
AND I LOVE IT!
At first, as I mentioned previously, I really only noticed that I felt calmer after using the blend that I'd put in a roller bottle. But after over a month of not only ME using it, but also my 18 year son (Autism, ADHD, Celiac Disease, Tourette's + ), the results have been astounding!
Now I need to say first that I did change my initial concoction from three ingredients to only two... Magnesium Chloride, Distilled water and Fractionated Coconut oil to ONLY the Mag. Chloride and the Distilled water. In order to use the Magnesium Chloride, I needed to boil the distilled water and then put the Magnesium ( in the form of white flakes) into the hot water to dissolve. This makes a WATER based ... base! And since oil and water do not mix, or do not mix WELL, the added Fractionated Coconut oil was an unnecessary ingredient. It actually seemed to hinder the absorbtion of the Magnesium somewhat.
I made a lot...and I do mean a lot of the oil... (it really shouldn't be called an oil though) Instead of the roller bottle, although I do still have one filled with the oil, I now just use a glass bottle with a sprayer attached. My son has his own.
Over the last month and a half, I have realized several new benefits to using Magnesium oil. Or rather, my son and I have.
ME
I spray the oil on the back of my neck and rub it in well when I feel overly stressed. The results are quick. Just a couple of minutes. My tension disipates, my muscles relax where I have applied the oil (neck and shoulders), and I simply feel a greater sense of well being. Yesterday I had a terrible headache. Usually I reach for my Peppermint Essential Oil (DoTerra), but it was all the way upstairs! (okay...a little lazy... I know! But my Magnesium Oil Sprayer was right within my reach. So I simply sprayed a little bit on my fingertips and massaged that into my temples. And what do you know! The headache was gone in just a few minutes. I have also begun putting a cup of just the flakes in my bathwater. Ahhh :) It just doesn't get much better than that!
MY SON
My son, who has even more health issues than I do, has decided he cannot live without his oil! He has been having panic attacks ff and on for the last year and a half. When he feels panic beginning to kick in, he goes straight for his spray bottle. He told me after about three weeks of using Magnesium Oil, that he noticed his tics (Tourette's Syndrome) lessened significantly. I had already noticed that though, but I was glad that he realized it too. My son has Autism (Asperger's). Routine meltdowns were par for the course. But those meltdowns occur so much less when he uses the Magnesium Oil every day. He also has a lot of body and muscle pains which seem alarmingly similar to my own Fibromyalgia. Magnesium oil rubbed into those aches and pains provide relief in half the time than ibuprofen does.
So...What do YOU think? Coincidence? The power of suggestion? Mind over matter?
I'm chuckling right now because that is exactly what I USED to think...before we actually tried it.
Now I know better...
The results???

It's All in the Planning....
Or so I thought.
I LOVE planners. I love to plan. I like to make lists. To make lists of lists. Well, truthfully, I don't LIKE to do it, but I feel neurotically compelled to. (I'll just leave it at that ;)
But I simply can't understand why the rest of the world does not need to have at least ONE list or planner as well. For instance...my teenage daughter. She is SO busy. She is rarely home. Her life is exhausting both to her and to me too as I just stand back and watch her whirl wind by....
So...SHE most certainly could use a planner.
Or so I told myself.
And I went right ahead and made her an awesome one! Her planner consisted of the downloaded and printed pages by Melinda Christensen from In The Leafy Treetops...minus January-March since they were over and done with. I did put a few really cute envelopes and pockets in it as well just to "fun it up". Then I bound it with O wire using my Zutter Bind-It-All. Yup...it rocked.
I gave it to her today. She took it, held it for a couple of seconds, opened it up, and said, "It's cute mom, but you should give it to someone else. With me it will just be wasted."
o.O
Unlike me when I was in High School, she gets straight As, is an athlete in 3 sports, is involved in church activities and has a lot of friends just to name a few of her freakish abilities. Annnnddddd, she always knows what time it is and where she puts things.
(shaking head)

Just Because?
Yes...just because...
One of the things I love most in this world is to create. It doesn't really matter what, I just love to create. I love to decorate my home. I love to bake cakes and decorate them. I love to try new things, to experiment with color, flavor, design. My latest is in blogs. This is my second, well....actually my third. Hopefully I won't get tired of this one too fast.
